My Story
Dear Friends and Family,
I hope this finds you well and surrounded by the comforting scents of love and joy. Today, I am excited to share a little about myself and the incredible journey I've embarked on with Scentsy since February 2011.
Joining the Scentsy family wasn't just about starting a business; it was about finding a source of joy and purpose in my life. In those initial moments, my goal was to contribute to our family income and, more importantly, to have fun while doing it. Scentsy has not only become my business, but it has also become a sanctuary where I have the freedom to work on my terms.
One of the remarkable aspects of Scentsy is the flexibility it offers. There are no limits or monthly quotas, just a simple requirement of selling $200 in a rolling 3-month period. This flexibility has allowed me to continue my business even when away from home, with customers being able to order directly from my website, https://carolynmclellan.scentsy.us, especially for those not local to me.
Over 10 years ago now, our lives were forever changed when we lost our son in a tragic accident. Miraculously, our two-year-old grandson and unborn grandson, along with their mother, were spared. They are now 12 and 10 enjoying mountain life and their mama and new step dad. Navigating through the depths of grief, Scentsy became a lifeline for me. It helped me maintain connections, support my family, and emerge from the darkness of depression.
Through Scentsy, I've built a network of friends, and it has allowed me to spend invaluable time with our grandchildren, who mean the world to us. In the Dallas/Ft Worth area, we have two more grandchildren, a granddaughter now almost 9, and a 21 year-old grandson. Without the support of my Scentsy family, I'm not sure how I would have coped, especially in the challenging times we've faced over the past four years with the ongoing impact of Covid.
One of the most exciting aspects of my Scentsy journey is the ability to take my business wherever I go. Being my own boss and setting my schedule has allowed me to travel and visit family, near and far, whenever needed. Scentsy's expansion to Mexico, Australia, the UK, Germany, and Canada means I can connect with fellow consultants and customers globally.
My husband, a retired USAF veteran (28 years), and I are both DAVs, and I served 13.9 years in the USAF. We live in a medium-sized military community, and with the grace of God, all our needs have been met. Scentsy has been a valuable asset in supporting my husband, caring for our grandchildren, and even taking care of my mom before she departed almost 4 years ago in October 2020.
The Scentsy products have been a blessing for me, especially considering my allergies, including sensitivity to smoke. The wickless, smoke-free products made with paraffin wax scented with essential natural oils have transformed our home into what my husband humorously calls "SCENT-SY" all the time.
As I continue this Scentsy journey, I am excited about the latest products in the Spring & Summer 2024 Catalog (available to purchase from next month), including the new Essential Oils and Natural Oil Blends with Diffusers.
